This site is dedicated to the memory of Bill.
Bill was born in Romford, Essex on November 13, 1920. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. As a small child he was placed into the Church of England Home for Waifs and strays in the 1920's in Sevenoaks Kent until he was enlisted into the Army as a boy soldier of 13 years of age. My tribute to him is that he was and still is my inspiration. Will never forget you dad xx

In memory of my Dad, William George Taylor who passed away on 28th June 2014 aged 93. He spent most of his childhood in the Church of England Home for Waifs and Strays (Sevenoaks, Kent) until he became a boy soldier in 1933 at the tender age of 13. Love you Dad xxx
